“THREE LAYER CAKE”: SLIDING HIDDEN BOOKSHELVES UNDER HISTORIC EAVE

My client needed to store books - a LOT of books.

This solution provided that, but also a unique focal point: shifting shelf towers provide access to three distinct planes of shelving, built with sliding hardware into the eave of a beautiful turn of the century historic home.

The project was done without sacrificing the aesthetic of the home or the desire for a permanent piece to be built into the house that matched the surrounding millwork.
